3 mile tempo run

splits 5:10; 4:44; 4:54

Legs felt like they had some bounce in them today. The goal today was just to hit 3 miles @ goal marathon pace. Went out in the first mile which felt like a conservative comfortable pace. When 5:10 came up I was like okay cool lets go with this. Second mile honestly don't know where that come from bet it felt awesome!! Third mile I was committed to finish under sub 5. hit 4:54.

Great 3 mile tempo in the books. One more week until the marathon, I am stoked for this one!! Hometown race and feeling good, just going to enjoy it and have fun!!

2.65 cool

Ben, that is a great 3-mile tempo! Very nicely done. You are ready to PR at Ogden man. I'm excited to watch you guys run next week.

Great workout - you are ready to roll! Good luck next weekend. PR time!

Thanks Riley,

I decided to bag out on the 5K, didn't feel like spending $25. But now I sort of wish I would have ran one. Definitly would have been a PR today.

@Jake

I am way excited hopefully the body will respond to all the training. Going to leave it all out and on the course that's for sure, no regrets!!

2:09:15 pace!

I loved that you planned to run marathon pace and then cranked two miles under 5. If you just take your last rep. at 4:54 that puts you at a 2:08:28--now that would be some course record and PR :-)

@scott- Isn't the body funny. During my warmup I felt like garbage. Once I got moving the flow just set in. I was honestly shooting for 5:25-5:30 pace. Just one of those days I guess.

Watch out Ryan Hall!!;)
