Long-Term Running Goals:

QUALIFY AND RUN IN THE BOSTON MARATHON.

Personal:

I am 27.  Have done 33 marathons and ultras. Really trying to get in shape to get back to running the miles I want to. I love to read and worked for four years in a bookstore. I like to keep track of the books I read. Currently I work as a 6th & 7th grade history teacher at the only charter school in Berkshire County, as well as serve as the coach for the cross country team! Been experimenting as a pescatarian (eating only fish) since August 10, 2011. 

 

Just earned my Master's Degree in Adolescent Education for Social Studies. I have the most wonderful WIFE in the entire world.. EMMA! October 16, 2010

Day #135: 4 miles, 3 up and down Monument Mountain and 1 on my own in 8:38. Had a great day. Got to see my mom in law and call my mom. Bring on the week. Getting nervous for my race this weekend. 48 hours of movement! Yikes!

Day #136: 4.2 miles 5-1 workout; 5 min warm up and then 5-4-3-2-1 hard with 1 min "off" after each, 5 min cool down. 4.20 miles in 30:57 (7:22 average pace). Hard "ons" were 5 min (.72 - 6:56 pace), 4 mins (.62 - 6:27 pace), 3 mins (.485 - 6:11 pace), 2 mins (.33 - 6:03 pace), 1 min (.19 - 5:15!!). Felt really confident and strong in the workout, even for a 10pm run.
