Attended Japanese high school and finished in March 2020. Was very lucky to be able to be a member of a very good team of runners at my high school, even though I was injured most of the time and was not able to be much of a contributor. Am currently doing an Engineering internship at a large manufacturer of Automotive transmissions, etc. It is really exciting. In spring of 2021, if COVID-19 has subsided, I am planning to serve an LDS mission, after which I plan to go to college and study Engineering.

Warm up run.

7 x 500m hill sprints (walk down). I was only going to do 6 hills but when I got to the bottom of the hill after the 6th hill, there was a real creepy looking guy at the bottom of the hill, so I decided to go back up again hoping that he would go away. When I got to the bottom of the hill after the 7th hill, I didn't see the guy, so I decided to continue on with my cool down, run, when all of a sudden he jumped out of the shadows from somewhere. I gave a scream and took off.

Easy run to get to 10 miles.

PM: 5 mile walk. It was really hot and humid this afternoon. I didn't enjoy this walk at all.

yikes! i remember my freshman year of college i was running through a bad neighborhood and passed a couple guys, then turned my head a few seconds later to see that they were chasing after me. had the same reaction as you, hopefully my scream sounded more manly though :)

No doubt you could outrun them, though.

it’s tuscaloosa; a lot of the populace runs a quick 40-yard.

Good to see you running again Eva, you have a lot of talent and dedication.

Be careful. Vary your routes and timing to make it harder for potential predators to anticipate when and where you will be running. And be especially aware of your surroundings when running thru bushes and trees (probably no earphones would be a good idea in secluded areas).

I was accosted and flashed while running in Los Angeles in the 80's. I got away, but might not have if I hadn't noticed the guy intently watching me thru his van's side rear view mirror. I gave his van a wide berth when I ran past, which was right when he flung open his door, jumped out pantless, and tried to grab me.

Don't be afraid to run, just use common sense, and listen to your intuition, which it sounds like you did. Always have a plan for what you will do if something like this happens.
