Hey. Okay, Im back. Horribly out of shape and nearly obese, but back all the same. Ive run 30 miles in the past 4 days which isnt great, but it is really enough. Im starting surgery on monday which is another one of the hellish 3 clerkships. But I decided that since kissing please do not swear is like 95% of my grade, and I am in such a better mood if I have gotten my run in (and therefore in a better please do not swear kissing mindset) I might as well run. To keep it up through surgery I will definitely have to sacrifice some sleep. And it might just not be possible, but I am gonna try. Im not aiming for 80mpw though... more like 50 maybe 60-65 if I push it. That and some weight loss might get me into decent shape for the mowhawk hudson river half marathon. What are your goals at this point?

hey haynes! nice to see you're back. what happened? just too busy with med school? i haven't been running nearly as much as i'd like either. not being a worker at school makes it tough. my only goal this season is to not do horrible at this 30m trail race in north vancouver in less than 2 weeks. i don't know...i think i'll be strong through about 20 but after that...i think i'm going to fall apart. my only hope is to eat like a pig to maintain extra energy to compensate for my lack of mitochondria due to inadequate training. i'm already eyeing this race in hawaii called race to the sun which is a 36m road race from sea level to the top of a 10k foot volcanoe. it's in march. i kind of miss running fast and doing speed workouts on the track but there's just no way i'm going to do anything like that on my own. do you think you can get to sub 1:18 shape for mohawk?
