I have sciatic nerve problems pretty frequently, exacerbated by sitting for long periods. If I drive for over three hours I start going crazy with shooting pains down my legs. I haven't found that running makes it either worse or better. I have no solution except to say I empathize with you. Maybe try some calf and IT band stretching exercise. You might also consider one of those inversion tables that stretch your back and body really good. good luck!

Thank You for the advise and empathy. I was thinking about trying compression shorts, but then i also heard that they don't help. I have been doing some stretching, but that does not help. Anyway, thanks again.

Barry, E-mail me and tell me more about this ok? We'll find an answer together somehow but it may a little time. Sciatic pain can be tricky to overcome as their may be some underlying muscle issues.
