Day of rest did me good.  My heel felt better today.  Felt a very minimal amount of pain after about 1.3 miles.  So how long does it take to heel when you get old?  Here are my splits:

10:35, 10:36, 10:29, 10:11, 10:13, 9:53, 10:00

Had an interval work out day.  w/u 1.5 miles (10:53)

8 intervals of .25 miles slight faster than MP and .5 miles of recovery

1- .25 (8:51)  .50 (10:14), 2- .25 (8:37)  .50 (10:33), 3- .25 (8:51)  .50 (11:29), 4- .25 (8:53)  .50 (10:58), 5- .25 (8:46)  .50 (11:35), 6- .25 (8:39)  .50 (15:19...water break and...), 7- .25 (8:44)  .50 (11:55), 8- .25 (8:33)  .35 (12:10)

Had fun this morning as my oldest daughter (11) ran with me for the first 3 miles.  That was fun.  Many times I work at getting her to talk about what's going on in her life and it's just not easy sometimes to pull it out.  She was a non-stop chatter box for the whole 3 miles!  It was fun.

Nice easy run today.  A bit humid as I perspired a lot.  Not unusual to loose 3 to 4 pounds on a 7 mile run.  That's with drinking along the way too.  Here are the splits:  AP 10:23  10:56, 10:12, 10:35, 10:16, 10:22, 10:12, 10:05

Well, had a tough work out today.  w.u for 1.52 miles then did 5 laps of 1 mile hard and 5 minutes of walking then a w.d. .83 miles.

mile 1:  8:41, mile 2: 7:43, mile 3:  8:13, mile 4:  8:23, mile 5:  8:15

Boy, I was pretty tired after this work out.  I need to do more fast work outs.  According to Jeff Galloway's prediction of marathon fitness, the 7:43 mile says that I could do a 4:22 marathon at the moment.  I suppose that's not so bad, but I'm shooting for a sub-4 hour marathon.
