| Easy run in Indianapolis. Just finished 40 Years Among the Indians, a lost edition of Dan Jones. Got a lot of amusement from the fighting described between the Liberals and Mormons in the first decades of Salt Lake history. Nothing different from today. The recipes of saddle and shoe leather were good too. After Bently's trek with me back up a few 14ers last week I looked back through Cavedog's record of all 14ers. So much fun. Especially reading about how much extra weight he figured he carried after discovering a hidden dime in his pack. http://www.thedogteam.com/

| Lucky enough to have the surf up in Cancun and spent two hours surfing Diedres. Mostly just paddling in the chop but did catch 3-4 good waves. Got in an hour of soft sand running after the sun set.

| Beach run early morning Cancun. Today I finished Mcdougal's latest book, Natural Born Hero's. Didn't enjoy it nearly like Born To Run. Couple of good ideas such as the sections on the uselessness of gyms compared to what nature offers, and why focusing only on competition instead of health. Otherwise it's just a book pushing the meat/paleo diet again. One wonders why Chris, now he's discovered the secrets of the Tarahumara and barefoot running, coupled with the incredible power of protein diets, fascia elesticity, and low heart rate fat burning, still can't run a 4.5 hour marathon. Probably book three...
