Nice off day. I spent two hours on the phone with my brother, a Sports PT in Idaho Falls, working through some ideas on where to start with running now. Pretty excited actually since some of this is stuff I have been ignoring. Specifically sleep. He had a really good article on effects of even one hour of REM on recovery with athletes. Starting a program this morning of lifting and water running, actually more intense than what I have been training so far. I have to take a few videos of form for analysis. Form from jumping off a box which shows what my knees and hips do when I land. Just starting on this, I have a lot of reading material to start, but good to hear some stuff that makes sense. |
