Worried about this day since I knew all week it was coming.  Early tempo run in the morning 10 miles on the treadmill at 5:40 pace.  Real surprised that this went well!  Aside from some strange looks at the gym..

Spent the day at the lake with my girls and finally taught my son how to waterski!

Interval workout tonight.  3 mile warmup, 10X800, 4X400, 1 mile easy.

Steve, Wow, if this workout is any indication of where your at fitness wise I guess good luck is not really necessary after all.

Rip it up man:)

What are you hoping to run time wise at UVM?

That is a monster workout! Your fitness level and ability to recover is unbelievable. My day would have been done after the tempo workout in the morning. I've readjusted my strategy for UVM...I'm just going to tie a rope to you and let you pull me to a new PR.

I was feeling good about my 5K tempo run until I read what you did today :-)

Thanks guys. Steve, not sure. Probably 2:35. I started training a bit different after Boston. I decided that I needed more time at marathon pace. More tempo runs, more fast long runs. The marathons just kind of fit into that. Actually I'm running slower workouts than last year. Just more time at a pace like I want a marathon at. It's been kind of a neat experiment. Today really wasn't that hard a workout. The intervals are not much faster than the morning run, and there's rest in between. I don't feel UVM is going to be a fast run for me, I'm looking forward to starting training again for a good fall marathon.
