Starting on speed this week.  10 miles on the treadmill this morning at the gym in 57:50, aiming for 5:45 so a bit on the slow side, but felt good.  3 miles at the 5 mile point at 5:27 (11mph).  Felt pretty stupid since the treadmill line was entirely full and I was cranking on one for an entire hour.  I wore the heartrate monitor for the first time in a while to try and get a sense of how hard I was pushing it.  Pretty consistant in the high 140 to low 150s.  I have done this treadmill workout in the 180s before, so there is some room there.  I have tried putting the treadmill incline at 1% for some of these like some people do, but find the intensity too hard.  Must just be too weak!

10 miles late evening on the treadmill at the Denver Airport gym at a nice 8mph pace.  I really like how the hard/easy training this year has kept me injury free.

Mighty impressive workout this morning. You should be just fine in Austin.

Well, it's a treadmill workout, so not the same as outside. I'm sure I will be paying the price tomorrow.

Steve, Fearless training man. That kind of workout will get you under 2:30. Just a matter of time..

If I don't get too old it might. I feel it creeping up lately!
