I have raised two running children, one competitive and one not.

I have learned to run in ice and snow and I don't complain.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work towards a faster marathon by Spring 2012.

Get my 5K down to 21:30.

Place in my division at duathlon and triathlon.

Train for biathlon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Joining Forrest Gump

Day off running; knee was feeling stressed.  Did a yoga class with my daughter instead.  I'm not sure what I thought of the teacher.  He kept saying things like "bring the outer part of your shoulder down and relax the inner edge of the shoulder".  Just complicated stuff to figure out and too much talking about it.  I guess I learn better by feel, not by so many words.  We felt good afterward, but during class, I could tell that my daughter was spending just as much mental energy as I was trying to take in all the instructions!  Followed class by a big breakfast and some coffee.

We are planning a ski hike tomorrow for Christmas eve.  Hike up on skins for 2-3 hours and ski back down to the car!  Hopefully, the snow will be good where we are going.  Haven't had much new snow, but it is certainly staying cold enough most of the time so its not melting!

Sounds like a fun afternoon. We hope to ski this afternoon too. Merry Christmas, my friend!

I find yoga to be too complicated sometimes, not that I do it that much.

Merry Christmas!

Have a Merry!

I had one excellent yoga instructor. After a few classes I got down her names for some of the moves (general yoga terms). She would just say the term and do it...so that was nice. I haven't found one since that I liked!

And hooray for skiing!
