Personal:

I am a 27 year old girl, from Illinois (via NYC), currently living in Austin, TX.

I've been running for about 6 years, have completed 14 marathons and recently qualified for the Boston Marathon with a time of 3:34!  This was a 23 minute PR for me!

After years of running very high mileage at pretty slow paces, I decided to get serious and joined Gilbert's Gazelles training group. The BQ came 8 months later.

Hoping this blog will help add some further insight and organization to my running. :)

1. Yoga at Lunch.

2. Swam 1 mile at Pure Quarry Lake after work.

Feeling better.  I think another day or two and I should be mostly there.  Feel about 90% better than I did last Thursday.

Good news!

How cold was the water?

There is a trail loop around the lake, I don't know what the distance is but I always wanted to run it. If you try it out let me know.

Glad you're feeling better! Burrr...the swim sounds cold!

It is usually between 80-84 degrees. I am a total whimp and I think it is plenty warm. Me and that pool are going to spend a lot of time together until I am back in running shape!!

I saw the trail. It looks pretty cool. I also want to try swimming in the Quarry when it warms up. Currently, it is at 54F. Not cool.
