I really wanted to do well in this meet. I started yesterday by eating carbs and drinking a lot of water, getting more than 9 hours of sleep, and eating and drinking a lot today too. The meet was at the golf course in Rose Park. I started fast and during my middle mile I slowed. I'm bummed that a West girl passed my during that time but no one else did which was good. The last 100 meters, Susannah and I kicked way hard. I got a PR and this was a real 5k. The course was easy but it was hot today. I wasn't hurting which is a relief. I'm very happy with my race overall. :) |
