Well, I really debated on whether or not to report on this race seeing that I really did not do all that well this year. I will not write any excuses or explanations. It is what it is, right? No worries, pickup and keep going. Lately I have been running for the sake of enjoyment and a way to recover and have some time to myself. I think that this approach from time to time has enabled me to come back stronger in the end anyway. I am not a machine which can just train for training sake,in order to crank out race after race. But hey, we'll see what happens. I'm still young and I want to be in this game for the long haul.

Steve, I think you need to put this race into perspective. Think about where you were approximately a month ago, and where you are now. I am not sure what your expectations were going into this race, but I can tell you I am amazed at how quickly you have recovered and are almost back to pre-injury racing shape. 16:01 is nothing to get upset about right now, keep enjoying your running.

I agree with James. I think you did an amazing job and not to far off last years time. You will be back in no time with a great attitude like your.

Steve- this is your entry from Apr 29:

"Well, I think I may be able to go for a couple of miles tomorrow if all holds out well. I have been really cautious about getting out there and hopefully it's paid off. Looking forward to it very much.

You know it really is a blessing to just be able to do it. Forget the trophys, the PR and such. You can't really know how great something is until you almost lose it. Dark Horse out.."

Less than a month ago you could barely run and now you are already back and upset you didn't run quite as fast as you wanted (30 seconds off your PR). Keep your chin up and keep training- you'll end up better than ever.

Air Dark Horse, nice take on the bigger picture.

I think Jon said it best. But I'll add great run and I enjoyed our conversation after.

Thanks for the support everyone and yes Jon, I remember... Being human I do forget sometimes.
