Had to get out for a few easy miles this morning.. Our 15 year old cat named Callie is slowly fading this morning and is probably not going to make it the rest of the day. I have not had a pet die so this is a new experience but I have to tell you I now understand what people mean when they say it's like losing a member of the family. Feeling so very sad today:(

It really is sad losing a pet. We had to put our cat down after 11 fantastic years after he got diabetes. You really get attached to those buggers.

The kids have handled it better than I have actually. The biggest thing is that I miss her coming up to me while I'm on the computer and sitting in my lap while she paws at my hands on the keyboard. Her way of saying; Pay attention to me!:)
