This is the blog's shortest race report.  It was fun, well executed in terms of water and fuel stops but most of all I had a good time:)  No watch however so I didn't really have any splits to record.  I just ran to learn some things and to practice others.   Thanks to Jeff Mc and Rob Murphy for their help and support in the final miles.  It was a tremendous help guys.  Except for when Rob told me to kick the last .2, yeah right..  Rob, you kick the last .2 mi! LOL!    Out.

Thanks Jeff, It was good to just "run" a marathon for once.

Great job, Steve. I was excited to see yesterday that you were seventh. Did you learn all the things you wanted to?

Thanks Paul, I'm glad to see you posted a pretty fast time. I think your right on with the specific training.

From Lindsey Dunkley on Sun, Jul 25, 2010 at 18:45:42 from 75.169.144.67

Wow, really without a watch? Although I am bad at getting splits, especially in the half, I really need a watch to know if what I am feeling correlates to my mile splits, good or bad :) ...So great job to you and nice time!

From Bec on Sun, Jul 25, 2010 at 19:45:11 from 76.23.55.210

Great race, and without a watch? Pretty cool.

From Brent on Sun, Jul 25, 2010 at 23:28:26 from 76.8.201.223

Air Darkhorse, 1,000 commando points for the division win, and stress free marathon. Interesting experiement, run how you feel? No watch, no IPOD, you can imagine it if you try, without John.

Good job Steve. Hopefully that means the soreness won't be as long either!

Steve, I cannot even remember the last time I ran watchless, very impressive to say the least! Great race!

Congrats on the great race!

Someday I will do a marathon with no watch.
