Went easy for a bit to test my knee a bit. Did not feel any pain! Weird, but I'll take it so I decided to do the workout today. Caught the race bus taking runners back up to their cars. I got off and decided on a tough 16 mile long run with a 4 mile tempo to start going from Mtn Dell to the Parleys canyon junction and then back up to the Salt Lake 10 miler start. I then proceeded to run the last 10 miles at MP pace to the finish at the monument. Dehydrated at the end even with the water I got from a friendly runner who had finished the 10 miler. Total time was 1:30:41 with 10 miles at MP pace in 55:41. A little slow, but not too bad considering very little water and the wind changed directions coming down the canyon. A pretty dang good workout nonetheless. I love these fast paced 16 milers and I credit them in boosting my fitness more than anything else.

Nice run today Steve. Some good mileage and also some very good MP work at that. Glad to see you back at it again.
