Easy 5 miles with some strides.  7th east out and back.  Did some stretching afterwards. Starting to really recover from the mileage now but I may have went a little too light this week. Or is it just that little nagging voice in my head that I get before an event.   Either way I'm glad I took cut on it overall and am feeling the legs getting snappy again.  Just in time maybe.. I know there probably won't be any big breakthough yet, it just hasn't been enough time but with the Lord's blessing and a little luck I may just have a decent run this time.

Bear with me on this image,  I just learned to do this this afternoon.  Next time I'll make them larger and with more resolution.

If any of you are bored enough to continue..  This is one of my projects that was challenging but very satisfying to restore and align.  It is an 1937 RCA 7T Tombstone receiver.   I recapped everything, replaced the rectifier tube, the output 6f6 and even some out of tolerance dogbone resistors.  I then reconed the speaker and rewired the remaining speaker harness. It looked like a small rodent had gotten a hold of it.  The jury is still out on rewiring the connecting leads to the transformer however. Very messy:(  Then came the wood using several coats of Howard's Restor a finish along with some feed n wax and lemon oil.  It has AM broadcast, several shortwave bands and a now antiquated police band.

Hey, It keeps me out of trouble:)

Yeah, I know. Most of the time it's just our own stupid insecurity and self doubt.

So Allie just get out there on Saturday and RUN! Good luck!

Nice work Steve. You should do this for a living an antique restorer. You do a wonderful job and God has blessed you with this talent along with running.

Thanks Kory, I kind of do already. In fact I just got a job from a retired couple to clean and re-grease the motor from an old Silvertone phonograph. My friend who ia a watch repairman referred me. I'm just waiting now for some documentation to arrive on it.

Are you coming for any of the races this weekend?

Good luck this weekend Steve. Hope you have a positive racing experience.

Good job on the restoration. If you haven't seen Pawn Stars on the HIstory channel you should check it out. It's just a pawn store they started to make into a tv show. It shows all the stuff people bring in and try to pawn. This piece you've done reminds me of some of the stuff people bring in for big bucks.

I would have loved to but I can't get up there. I wanted to run the marathon as a training fun run but just can't justify the cost right now. You have fun and knock'em dead on the course. Trust in your training, but most of all God when it gets tough and your tired.

Clyde: Thanks, also that is funny you should say that because Pawn Stars and American Pickers are favorites of mine to watch.

Kory: This time I'm going to have to.
