A few friends from church talked me into doing a Tough Mudder. It was so much fun. In total 8 of us did the race. We picked up two additional people in the first mile and the 10 of us completed it together. This was not a group of runners and this type of an event is a challenge not a race so not sure what my time was. Over the 11.3 mi there are 23 obstacles ranging from climbing a two story rope to navigating 7 foot deep mud pits. Some of the tougher challenges were the team ones to get up and over a 20 ft wall. Many of the obstacles were designed to require 2, 3, or even more people to navigate. Others were mental challenges like swim 20 ft through ice water with an obstacle that forces you to submerge and the finish line set-up with exposed electric wires that give you one gnarly shock. I only got hit three times but other were double zapped to the ground. Overall sounds crazy (and it is) but so much fun everyone should do it.

Yeah, this is not a running or even competition thing. All about team building. At least the way we did it.
