The balancing act continues. Still way too busy. Problem is not too productive...

Because of scheduling and sharing the car I was home again at 10am and took my youngest on a stroller run. It has been such a long time that I've run with only one of them at a time. She felt so light. We just did a Sugar House loop and ended at my older daughter's school to pick her up before I dropped them off at home and headed back to work.

Hi Scott, It has been awhile. Glad to hear that you are doing well. It sounds like you and Allie are in for a fun race on Saturday. I wish you two the best.

As far as the "blues" go it is just growing pains. Something about writing and me are just not clicking. I just need to lock myself in a room away from students and experiments and get moving...

I get writers block too, it is the bane of this job. writing a scientific paper or grant proposal takes 100% concentration (as you know) and sometimes the brain just won't agree to get going when you have so many other things to do at the same time. right now I am trying to get reviews done for October 8 study section and am having "read grant proposals block" while teaching two classes and other assorted stuff. oh well, hang in there and get those papers and proposals out!
