Single: Went to bed a little early and slept in a little. I needed it after last week. Also, I had the best run this month. My knee was still tight and I can really feel the loss of fitness but it felt good to push it a couple miles. I went by effort as my Garmin is still out... So by 2 at MP I have no idea what that means but it felt relatively good and fast... Mi 6-R3

Man, I've been living in a cave for a month. Started teaching and working on my hose and just have been neglecting the blog.

Sorry to see that you're banged up. Are you still a go for SGM?

Perhaps a silver lining for you. Back in 2002, I got injured right near the end of July, just about 4 weeks before CC started. I ended up taking a week off and then two weeks easy miles -- like 3-7 miles every other day. I went to CC camp, ran all the easy runs for a week, and then ran a 10 miler (just for a long run, my longest in 4 weeks) and ran a PR at the time. I know it doesn't always work like that, but you never know....

I have TOU in 3 days. My legs were in a funk for a couple weeks there, but I've felt okay the last 10 days or so. I'll post after the race.

Steve, Good to hear from you. I was wondering what happened but was to wrapped up in my own little cave to give you a call. I'm hoping for something like you describe at St. George (though I find it unlikely with the runs I have accomplished). Good luck this weekend, I think you'll have a good time (both figuratively and literally).
