AM/Single?: Into work extra early as Sandra needed the car by 8:30am. Back to home and a quick jog over to SH. I had planned 8 for today so I may squeeze in more miles later tonight if I can. Nothing special about the run. Mi 5-R1 Avg. 8:34

Way to get in your scheduled 8 miles. It's so funny how all of us have to squeeze every moment just to run. I hope your knee is not experiencing any pain. Good job on the run and again your going to have a good race on Thursday.

Kory, The knee has had a little pain. It feels like something is pulling in it. But that has happened on and off for the last 10-yrs so I don't get too concerned anymore unless there is serious pain. It is funny that you should mention "squeeze every moment". My wife, her cousin, and I were just talking about how with my early hours to get my day in I'm awake one "extra day" each week compared to them. That comes out to ~52 days per year meaning for their "12-month" year I'm actually living 13.5-months. Now I'm worried though does that mean in "running schedule years" I'm actually 33 instead of 30? :)...

That's funny. I'm awake 24+ hours more than my wife, too, each week. Never thought of it like that before.

Yes your 33 years old because of the lack of extra sleep :-).

In reality your a determined individual that wants to thrive with your job, provide for your family and run at peak performance. That makes you a great dad, and a great husband and someone who cares about staying healthy.

You balance out your life for yourself and others and I think that's great.

Amen to all that has been said. Life is about focusing on what is important, and I agree with Kory's prioritization... well, maybe running in front of work! :-) Getting your training in so you don't impact the other priorities as well is a demonstration of commitment and perseverance, of passion and fortitude. This all rolls over into all aspects of your life and makes you the person that you are.
