I always forget how easy I had it in the Midwest, flat, oxygen in the air. I felt like I was dragging and looked down to at least a minute per mile faster than what I thought. The outskirts of the convention area are a little depressing but the run was fine. Now off to learn. Avg. 7:02 HR 160

Thank you. Still no word on the 2nd grant. Anytime this month.

I'm at the American Diabetes Association meeting in New Orleans.

My talk was today and it went well. It was the best attended yet. We estimated there were about 200 people there. It was a little stressful but I clicked to my acknowledgment slide as my time expired so I couldn't have planned it better. I had a good number of questions and even better a number of people that waited to talk to me after.

After my boss hooked the lab up with a dinner at Emeril's and I just got back from an awesome meal. The smoked mushrooms appetizer was the best but the 15yr Scotch dessert was the icing on the cake so to speak.

nice job, 200 people is awesome attendance for your seminar, and great to make those connections.

My last meeting in NO was an ASM meting at the old conference center, by the riverfront mall, before the hurricane. Have they rebuilt that? It was a nice conference center, and the mall was neat. Walked down every day from Bourbon Street where we stayed. I hope NO is recovering, what a great city. Get out to LaFiette if you can take a break and rent a canoe for a day, great adventure out in the swamp with the gators!
