Probably could put down 8hrs of sleep but with two wakeups I rounded

down. I think I'm now fighting the cold that my wife and daughter had

as my entire body was achy. That being said it was a good morning for a

run. Mid-40s F w/ little to no wind and a slight drizzle/snow the whole

way. My knee acted up a little but I think that was fatigue more than

anything. Last nights rest helped. Today marks my longest run since St.

George and my longest week since the first week of Sept... I saw four deer during the run and ran 1+ miles with "Jason" a 40yr old that has done 34 marathons and 4 IronMan races. I just realized I told him I've done 10 marathons when I've only done 9... The pace the whole way was slow but today was more about seeing a 50 in my weekly total again. Avg. 8:16 HR 145

First time on your site, but I like your plans for the year. While I'm not quite at your pace, I think I can steal some of the goals.

Good luck, man.

The run was worth it seeing the deer. Nice run. It's great to see you being successful.

Hey! were both making progress. I hope your sleep is good for next week. It's hard to feel like training when you don't know how well you'll be able to sleep. That really makes it hard to plan the weekly miles.

Have a good day with your family tomorrow.

Are you going to watch the SLC marathon in a couple weeks?

Thanks Kory. The deer were cool. They were trapped between the freeway and residential fences so they ran alongside me for a little before realizing I wasn't chasing them and then they just stopped to watch me pass.

The progress is not fast enough and it always seems like there is one step back for every forward. I'm just trying to keep a positive attitude about it and take whatever I can get.

I thought about helping out at mile 2 but hadn't followed through with that yet. We'll see...
