Good start to the day. Up early to get my run in before breakfast and church. The temp was great. I actually had to stop and take off a layer (~53F). It was windy though. NOAA had listed 20mph with 33mph gusts. Fortunately I was only running into that for miles 3 and 4. The rest was tail or crosswind as I did a squarish run. A good sign is that my quads are more sore than my knee suggesting that it is my lack of fitness and not injury that kept me slow today. Now just to get fit again... Avg. 8:39 HR 136

What kind of scientist are you?

Good thing you ran before the snow...

Jon, I couldn't believe the weather today. By the time I got out of the shower the wind had done a 180 and three hours later there were 3in of snow and it was 20degrees colder. I guess timing is everything.

Mike, I'm a molecular biologist that studies heart disease in diabetics. It also looks like I'm going to follow in your footsteps. I also have two girls though they are a few years behind yours. I like the style of your blog, especially the 6in high heels... Thanks for serving our country when do you come home?

Nice way to begin the week Adam. It seems like most of your runs you do are uphill is that correct. Great easy steady pace today.

Cool job, Adam! Thanks for the kudos. Way to go with the daughters! I had a chemistry professor who said that certain professions seem to have a higher incidence of daughters. His theory was that male gametes were weaker and were further weakened by exposure to chemicals, thus daughters.

I took a molecular bio and my professor came to class one day unprepared, apologized, told us a dirty joke then dismissed class. He was my favorite.

Kory, Yes most of my runs are hilly. My commute runs are majority uphill because they are point-to-point and up to The U. The rest should have equal up and down. I actually am faster if I start up because I'm slow anyway so then I can warm up even slower and finish fast.

Mike, Sounds like a familiar theory. My mom also used to tell me one about daughters too but this is a family friendly blog :)...
