So far today has been the most “normal” since before my injury. The night’s sleep was still pretty poor, but Sandra took the brunt of that so I owe her tonight. I got in early to lab set up three experiments and was out the door for a run toward City Creek. It is funny how I can miss that run. The most boring part is all I could do today but it was still missed. In typical fashion of this year it rained on me but more of a mist and when I was out there it was still about 46F. Today I stop the NSAIDs again but I’m going to keep up with the G/C/M for a few months. Knee is tight but nothing out of the ordinary.

So good to read such a positive report on your blog. Hang in there, you're getting stronger!

Are you going to make a surprise appearance at the Strider's 5k tomorrow?

From wheakory on Fri, Feb 06, 2009 at 13:36:48

That's great you were able to get out the door and enjoy a run. I hope the knee tightness decreases. The temp at 46 degrees must have felt like a heatwave.

Jon, You spoiled my surprise. The whole baby, grant, knee injury has all been my plot to blow everyone out of the water tomorrow. I've actually been hitting between 90-110 mpw with ~10 of those miles in intervals at 4:30-4:50 min pace. I'm thinking a sub-15 is in store :)...

JD, Thanks. At least I'm moving in the right direction now.

Kory, I had to take advantage of the weather today, run or not. Between the air quality actually being "green" and ths snow in the forcast for tonight...
