Married for 44 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 10 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 39 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2021.

5 mile easy recovery run at 5:05 a.m.  Standard route.  Ran with Liz and Roland for about one mile.  Untimed.  Feeling fairly good.

5 easy miles this morning at 5:05 a.m.  Full moon. Skyline route to gate and back via Loma Vista and Upland loops.  Much cooler and a canyon breeze.  51 degrees.  Long sleeves in summer? Sheesh!

5 miles in Settlement Canyon.  6:30 p.m. mostly on the Dark Trail or on gravel road above the gate.  Tina bombed on me tonight.  Took a good fall on the last home stretch on the trail.  A few scrapes and a sore forearm, but otherwise I'm okay.  Try picking up those feet, especially around the rocks!

5 miles at 5:30 a.m.  Easy run.  A bit more sore from my fall last night on the trail than I thought I would be.  Didn't push it.  Liz and Roland out this morning.  Someone yelled out my name from a UTA Vanpool.

5 miles in 44:07 at 5:05 a.m. with Tina.  My standard route up Skyline to the gate and back on the Loma Vista and Upland loops.  Felt pretty good this morning.  Much warmer this morning than the last 2 days.  Warm canyon breeze.  67-70 degrees.

7 miles at 6:30 p.m. 85 degrees.  4 miles of trail running on double track from Wig-wam to top of Little Mountain and along the water tank trail back to Skyline and up to the gate.  Back home direct.  Pushed some the last mile, the rest very easy.

18 miler this morning at 6:30 a.m.  8:49 overall average pace.  2:38:39, a full 10 minutes slower alone than I ran with Tina two weeks ago.  I wasn't trying to set any records this morning.  I feel very tired after a 55 mile week.  Glad I got it in before the winds got too bad.  It's really starting to howl out there right now.  Wasn't too bad during the run.  Ran the Smelter Road hills up near the Anaconda Gate and back down to Droubay Road and through Erda via Bryan Road over to SR36 and then into Stansbury along the frontage road finishing at the Benson Mill church.  Saw about 7 other runners out there this morning.
