Married for 44 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 10 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 39 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2021.

20 miles this morning.  Starting with at 5K Fun Run for the Special Olympics fundraiser in 22:22, a 7:13 average pace.  Splits were:7:38, 6:58, and 6:42.  5th place overall of 100+ runners.  Then I headed up Smelter Road and turned around at 6.5 miles.  Then back down Droubay Road through Erda into Lakepoint.  Headed to Stansbury along the road above Adobe Rock and finished at the Benson Mill church.  Ran a pretty easy pace, but still struggled some the last 2 or 3 miles.  2:53:31 total time, including the 5K.  Nice day, a bit chilly waiting for the race to begin.  Long sleeves were too much for the last 5 or 6 miles.  A good effort overall.  Second consecutive 60 mile week.
