Married for 44 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 10 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 39 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2021.

14 miles LSD on frozen tundra.  6 to 7 inches of fresh snow overnight.  The roads were icy and frozen most of the run.  With the sun out, the cleared roads began melting and I had to stop and remove my spikes after about 9 miles.  It really turned out to be a beautiful and clear sunny day, even though it was quite cold still.  We must have had lake effect snowfall overnight, because not that much was reported from yesterday's storm.  Really slow and easy.  I'm feeling stiff and a bit sluggish, but I was glad to get in a 14 miler two weeks before Painter's Half-marathon in St. George.  40 miles this week.  It's supposed to be even colder tomorrow with another storm coming in Monday morning.  Tomorrow is a rest day and I may be doing 5 on the treadmill early Monday morning.

We got about 8" down here in Payson. It sure was pretty. I wimped out and hit the tread mill- Way to get out there. I checked the highway and it is clear- I may run there if the storm comes in later Monday. Today sure is FRIGID!!! I'm going to Painters too. Good luck!

It sounds like we're about in the same boat. I feel wimpy running on the treamill as well and excited bout going to St. George in about 10 days or so. Good luck and keep up the good work!
