Married for 44 years to a wonderful and supportive wife. She's run 2 marathons herself in our earlier years so that helps.  4 boys, all married, and 10 grandchildren.  2 sons are runners. I celebrated 39 years of running madness, insanity, or at least OCD, on August 23rd, 2021.

Watched the move "Prefontaine" last night.  I think I liked it about the same as "Without Limits".  Also watched "Fire on the Track" as well.  It's a documentary on Prefontaine, and was only an hour long.  I liked it the best, but I typically like documentary style stuff.  I think that's why I liked "Spirit of the Marathon" and the "Long Green Line" so much as far as running videos.

You should check out Running on the Sun. WOW, and OUCH, and CRAZY, and FREAKISH!!!

Thanks for your nice comments, and I am listening. I am done with the marathon Saturdays and on to my Boston training. No more marathons for me until the real thing!

Have a great week!

Teena Marie-

You can watch "Long Green Line" on line on Hulu.com. It's great if you like high school cross country running.

Kelli-

I think I've heard of "Running on the Sun" but haven't seen it. Thanks for the recommendation. Movies like these help me get through these boring winter months. Spring is just a week a way! (On my calendar, anyway).

You two are both great runners! I wish you the best this year in your running goals. Just because 80 miles a week would kill me, doesn't mean it's not right for you. I'm certainly amazed at your efforts! Just be careful.

Believe me, I am done for now with that craziness! After Boston, I will be training for an Ultra and back to high miles when I can handle it, but certainly not every week!

The movie is great (it was from the library) but it did give me nasty noenail nightmares!
