Masters USATF Cross Country National Championships 8k in St. Louis, MO!
Maybe a marathon in 2013?
Long-Term Running Goals:
Enjoy running and racing at whatever level I am able to. Possibly run another marathon post Microfracture Surgery in under 3:00.
Personal:
I'm in the Army. I am married with four children (20/17/13/8 years old). Trying to return to previous running form after having microfracture knee surgery in July 2008.
8 miles in unusally warm weather for DEC, it was 63'F at 6:00am. ended up averaging 6:45 pace again over very hilly course with very strong head winds during second half of run. Legs still zonked and exhausted for some reason.
Finally a fairly flat course today. Still a very tough day with legs still feeling completely shot. Averaged 6:40 pace overall for 10 miles. Thinking about getting a blood test to make sure things are ok as legs are just not feeling normal.
Today was a little better than most of the week. Still very tired but was able to run 10 miles in 63:40 on trail run. Slightly faster on second half with 6:22 avg. Overall.
