Hottest and most humid day EVER! Volunteered in the morning for the Parks half marathon - had to get up at 5:30 to walk my neighbor's dog and drive to the water stop, close to Bethesda. I was on water stop at mile 10.5, and the runners came up this long hill and they all wanted 3-4 cups of water! We thought we had plenty, so we didn't ration... then we realized we were running out of cups! How horrible!!! We had pitchers and plenty of water, and the runners coming by at that point were walking, so we gave each one cup that we refilled as much as they wanted. A few minutes later a biker brought us more cup, thank goodness. I got to see local elite runner and holder of some American records Mike Wardian - I hope he likes it when people recognize him and cheer him on, I don't want him to find me annoying! We cleaned up the place quickly, and I was on my way home. Gave the dog another long walk and went off to bike on the C&O Canal to Carderock to meet a friend and hike the Billy Goat Trail. I'm the queen of that trail. I have yet to meet another hiker that can do it faster than I can :) hehehe... Aaron, Jill, any of you want to take a stab? :)
Biked home after that, for a total of about 6 fast hiking miles and 20 fast biking miles. |

| 1 hr at the pool, 20 min swimming and the rest jogging in the shallow part of the pool. Not feeling too great. Too much work lately, too little sleep, too little exercise, too much food. Ughhh... it'll pass, I know. Only 18 more days! |

Biked to work, went to the gym for 1 hour after work, and biked home. Did 45 min elliptical and 15 min bike, doing intervals of 2 min at max effort every 10 minutes... my heart rate was around 140 in the lower effort part and got over 190 at max effort, so it seems to me I haven't lost much fitness quite yet.

Biked to work, went to the gym after work for 40 mins in the elliptical, biked to the pool, swam for 30 mins, aqua jogged for 30 mins, and biked home. Whewww!
