This is a special report from fast-80's-dancing-blog.com!

My friends and I went to the Regeneration Tour at Wolf Trap last night - Five 80's bands under one roof for one night! It was a fabulous time. The highlight of the night was Flock of the Seagull's "And I ran (so far away)" Everyone stood up and was jumping and dancing around. Yes, that was probably great for my stress fracture... I couldn't help but to think to myself: "You don't run far away! My fellow bloggers and *I* run far away!" Hahahaha!

Other hits: Naked Eye's "Promises, promises" and "Always something there to remind me", The Human League "Don't you want me baby", and Belinda Carlisle "Heaven is a place on earth". Some people were properly equipped with 80's hair, clothes, and makeup.

Fun times! I got home late so I didn't wake up to go to the pool this morning.

Then after work I was pulled into a happy hour... and stayed there having fun with co-workers for too long... no pool but I did bike back home. My only exercise of the day was bike to work and back. LAME!

That sounds like so much fun... I remember all those songs!

We should make you an advent calendar to count down your 40 days to running. I used to do it for my kids when we had a big vacation, or some special event coming. Make a paper chain and they could cut one off everyday to count the days LOL.

HOW FUN!! We went to the Police in July and I couldn't help it and I danced ALL night! The 80's were awesome! The regeneration tour came here or is coming here. We chose the Police. Had to make a choice and I have a mini thing for Sting. Turns out he's pretty puny. Oh well- it was fab! I was listening to the Smiths this morning, "Girlfriend in a coma", one of the best love songs of our time ;)

Have a great day and FOR SURE make a paper ring chain to mark your return to running. It would be awesome!!! or radical, since we are stuck in the 80's! :D

"Do you really think she'll pull through?

Girlfriend in a coma and I, I know it's serious!"

Dont you want me baby! Hey did they play 8675309? lol Dont get me started on the 80's! I dropped my 13 year old daughter off to school and she told me to turn the radio down and roll the windows up on my truck. So I switched it over to Sirius 80's and rolled the windows down and push the window lock and my daughter jumped out and walked fast to school. So I messed my hair up and yelled to her By Sarah! Funny. Maybe that'll get me out of the carpool now?

OH MY GOSH. You are so lucky. I would kill to bet at that little event. Flock of Seagulls? Belinda Carsile? The Human League? All favorites! That must have been so fun. It must have been good to dance the night away. I'll bet you're too young to have brought out your huge, asymetrical, red belt, oversize white men's shirt, peg-legged levi's and your red ballet flats.....Those were the days.

Luz, you're the best-est! I'm going to another 80's concert (a cover band this time, called The Legwarmers) and was wondering how to dress up! Your ideas are just perfect!!! Yes, the 80's rocked!

But, you have to do the hair, too, or it just is not the same!! Then post some pictures.

I noticed something funny in People magazine. Tom Cruise's wife (I can not think of her name) had this big, baggy jeans on and then she had them rolled over and folded up at the bottom. Please tell me that is not coming back in style!!!

For some GREAT clothing ideas, check out 13 going on 30 with Jennifer GArner. The kids have some GREAT looks. You must post the pictures.

Don't forget the "off the one shoulder" sweaters and the big plastic jewlery!
