Let's see... what did I do, what did I do... Oh yeah - woke up early and metroed to the gym, did 1 hr elliptical and 15 min. core work and weights. After work, I went to pick up my bike - 2 miles of super fast walking from the metro to the shop, to make sure I made it in time before they closed! Picked up my bike (reunited, and it feels so good!), and biked the 2 miles back to the metro station (it was dark and I didn't have my helmet so I didn't want to ride all the way back home). At the bike shop I picked up a very expensive light that I hope will help me see better when I bike in the dark so I don't get in an accident, some fenders so I don't get so dirty when I ride in the rain, and some other stuff. Unfortunately, on the ride back to the metro I realized I need a new crankset... ouch, that's going to be expensive! I had them change the chain only because I thought the crankset would be OK, but I was wrong! I need to take better care of the chain from now on, since I've been riding it a lot lately.

Day 3 of focusing on nutrition (yesterday) wasn't so good. Day 4 was a little better, but not great. I'm craving eggs and beans, which I think means I need to increase my protein intake... and I need to eat before I'm super hungry. I read this article http://loveyourbody.nowfoundation.org/factsheet3.html and it made me think. I have some habits of several of those "disorders", but none really to an extreme, so maybe that means I'm pretty much normal for a woman... The night eating disorder is definitely the one that jumps at me the most, and I've known it's a problem for me for a while, and consciously try to eat more calories earlier in the day, which really helps. I'm lucky to work close to a pretty good supermarket, and that my office building has plenty of space to store food, so I can just buy stuff and keep it here to eat in the morning, so I don't have to haul it around from home on my bike all the time.

Last but not least, BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE RUNNING THE ST. GEORGE MARATHON!!!! I'll be sending happy thoughts for you, and looking forward to reading your reports so please post them quickly if you can!

Congrats on getting your bike back; I know how frustrating not having proper equipment can be. From the description of your workout today, between walking, biking, and gym work, it sounds like your in better shape than you're letting on...

Thanks Nevs - I'm in great shape, no doubt about that. But, could be in BETTER shape! You're an ultrarunner, you must know the feeling of always wanting more, right?
