Getting up this morning was TOUGH!!! But I did it... One hour in the pool, 30 mins swimming 30 mins aqua jogging. My silicone cap is working out well (my hair thanks you, Marion!).

I won't be able to work out any more this afternoon as I'll be going to Wolf Trap again for an 80's one-hit-wonder bands concert - Who remembers The Human League's "Don't you want me baby", or Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a place out there" and many others - should be a blast!  Oh, and I forgot to mention, Flock of the Seagulls will be playing "I ran (so far away)" - YUPPPEEEEE!

I just commented on your yesterday entry and then you added a new one so I will add here too.

Great things going for you at the pool! Way to go!

Better yet...have a great time at the concert! I'm an 8o's girl! The 80's seemed to have a lot of one hit wonders! Enjoy!

That sounds like my kind of quality time for recovering from a stress fracture.. That will be my next one of 12! I think Im on 8 right? Number eight: Hanging out at a 80's one hit wonders band concert! And doing the running man and getting away with it!

I LOVE the 80's!!! Cool work out and an excellent way to party tonight!! I love that song "I ran" I once LOADED the juke box with about a million quaters and selected that song over and over and over. Memories!!!! I bet the other customers wanted to KILL me ;D

Don't the words to that go like this...?

And Iran, Iran's so far away!

Kim you are hilarious! You should've grown up with me in Buenos Aires, as my sisters and I tried to decypher what the songs in English meant... After I started to learn English and to understand what they actually said, I had some great laughs!

Eight down, 4 to go, Wall-e! Here's what I've got so far - let me know if I'm missing anything:

FRB's 12 Steps to recovery

1. Drink a recovery beverage of your choice and do the robot dance.

2. Learn to do something new that you didn’t have time to do before (in my case, swim)

3. Listen to Neil Diamond’s “Hello my friend hello” and watch a little TV

4. Focus on getting enough calcium, good nutrition, and “keep your mind set away from the pain that ales you”

5. IT COULD BE WORSE ATTITUDE! “I’m grateful for my little stress fracture, now I can give my body the rest it’s been nagging me to give it”.

6. Volunteer at races to support fellow runners

7. Listen to motivating music and watch motivating movies

8. Go to an 80’s one-hit-wonder bands concert!

Holly crap you are keeping good tabs on me Lucia! I should write these down because I just read over them and thought "did I really say that?" Heres #9: Watch the Olympic games or other sporting events related to your running and concentrate on their form, how they take breaks, how they hydrate, even how they prepare for the event. etc.
