A rainy and cloudy day here in DC - still gorgeous and not too cold though. So I ran to work with my little Nathan pack. My right shin was hurting a little... please oh please shin splints don't come back!!! I'm going to cross-train tomorrow and run on trails on Saturday, and cross-train again on Sunday... must remember to take it easy and not run every day even though I really really want to! Oh, I got new shoes! Yeah baby yeah!

Another photo from my office window - jealous?

Today is my 1-year citizenship anniversary, and as every day, I feel so lucky to live in this wonderful, if not perfect, country with all of you wonderful people! Happy day!

I have to say that I'm jealous. My "room" has 3 basement jailcell window things. :( No views at all lucky!

From Nevels on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 13:45:11

Got me beat; my office is a windowless basement room. On days with too much work/homework, I don't see the sun at all!

Congratulations on the one year anniversary! It's too bad that many people who have been here longer aren't as appreciative.

Those are some great views from your office.

Wow, that is soooo freakin nice! Is that a pool down there at the bottom? I looked at your other photos too! You have been to more places then the majority of people will ever dream of! Happy anniversary mi amigo! Nicely done. Be careful on getting too much done on your training. baby steps! baby steps. You know, the best I came off an injury was when I did the 1 minute rule! That is dont run more than 1 minute longer than you did the previous day. That forced me to slowly get back into it. It really helps.

That is one heck of a view, I am very jealous!!

Happy Anniversary, and ditto! This is a great country.

I wonder why so many love new shoes?? I get so very attached to my old ones that I wait way to long to get new ones. Have breaking those babies in!

Happy Anniversary, Lucia!! It is a wonderful country.

I love new running shoes, too -- the smell of them before wearing them the first time, and the "springiness" of wearing them for the first time after a really old, dead pair!
