Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

9:09 average pace.  Super slow and easy, enjoyed it.  Beautiful today!  After the run went on a 6 mile casual bike ride with my husband.  Good times!  Looks like he has found a job...not set in stone yet but very very promising!  Yeah!

That is wonderful news---about the job!Are you a serious bike rider? Or are you like me and have a target bike and bike sometimes...just curious...I"m not sure but I think adding biking into the running routine has made several bloggers better runners.

I know when I did spin classes it helpe me...any who that is enough blahing!

I have a garage-sale bike! :) No, not a serious bike-rider; it's just something nice to do with my husband sometimes and I am using it as part of my marathon recovery to add extra cardio and burn some calories without the pounding of full-fledged running mileage. I think it may help with leg strength, particularly quads, so I am going to try and stick with it for a while. My quads were what really had problems in the marathon, so if I can strenghten them on a bike it may be beneficial.

I just reread my post--It sounds silly that I asked if you were serious bike rider or like me with my target bike...You could be serious and have a target bike...I can't ride too long--my butt starts to hurt.

I think biking will seriously help with the quads...and if you can consider spin class!

My butt is the limiting factor on my bike rides too! I could easily keep going if it wasn't for the permanent bikeseat bruise forming....I can only take so much.
