Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

7:55 average pace.  If I am going to race at my 1/2 and full marathon paces, I need to get acquainted and comfortable with them--so a bit of a tempo run today.  Warmed up about 5.4 miles, then 2 miles at target 1/2 marathon pace(6:56, 6:58) before slowing down to 2 miles at target marathon pace(7:34,7:31) and then a little cooldown.  The marathon pace miles felt like piece of cake after running the 1/2 marathon pace miles.  The 1/2 marathon pace miles didn't feel too bad, but it will be tough to run 13.1 at that effort.  All miles done on dirt roads as always to keep my foot happy.  My foot is doing great.  I am striving for full healing so have decided to continue to stay on dirt, stay off asphalt, skip the 5k on asphalt this weekend, and instead do a 20 miler on the dirt roads at home.  Did 10 minutes of pilates with Denise Austin afterward.

WOW!! You are a ROCK STAR!!! That is one heck of a run. Smart girl to stay with the dirt. 20 miles vs- 3.1 .....hmmmm???? Have a GREAT time :) when is your marathon??

that's what I want to know, when is the half too? And great tempo/mp run. Qualifying for Boston is a definite for you, unless you are running a dreaded hill/trail marathon. I think you need under 3:40 to qualify right?

Great fast run! For the record, I'd rather do the 5K :) But I'm lazy.

Hope your foot is still treating you well!
