Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

7:32 AP.  Got up at 4:10, drank some coffee, and ate a piece of peanut butter toast.  Roaring through the streets with Eddy by a little before 5.  Once again, ran straight through with no stops for water or fuel.  Eddy is nursing a sore achilles so I actually got a little mercy today.  The run is nothing to write home about, but I have just completed my first 80 mile week ever.  Day 7 of eating right.  Splits 8:41, 8:07, 8:00, 7:36, 7:35, 7:42, 7:25, 7:19, 7:27, 7:27, 7:31, 7:29, 7:25, 7:12, 7:16, 7:14, 7:07, 6:55, last little bit at 6:23 pace.

April, just wanted to recognize your amazing miles this week. I thought I had put in a good week then I went onto the milage board and you smoked me by a full 10 miles. Great job! Are you training for any big up coming race or just building a nice milage base?

Rhett--I am running the Houston marathon in 7 weeks. This week was a little bit of an experiment with mileage--playing with fire a little bit I think! I have survived uninjured but am going to back off next week before I attempt it again. Congrats on your miles!

Good luck at Houston. I hear that is a fast marathon since it is so flat. Looks like you did you long run at a pretty good pace today, especially after such a high milage week. Be smart and you should be on your way to a nice PR in Houston.

Love that progression, that's an awesome run. I saw this was the 100% week on the schedule. I can't even wrap my brain around an 80-mile week, nice going!
