Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

1:21:41/8:09 average.  Got up at 5am to run before my busy day.  Just got up, got dressed, and went out the door.  No breakfast, no coffee, no drink of water.  Of course I was armed with my Garmin!  I am having so much fun with it. Felt pretty tired in the legs, about mile 8 decided to kick it up a notch for the last two miles to practice running hard when fatigued.  Interesting to see my splits. 9:04/8:33/8:24/8:23/8:13/8:08/8:09/7:59/7:27/7:09/last little bit is 5:12 pace(kick to the end).  Nick has his track meet today.  He will be doing softball throw, long jump, and 400 meter dash.  I can't wait!  I am going to take him out for ice cream afterward.

Look at those negative splits, specially the last couple of miles!

Wow, super job, super week. You are doing awesome.

My best for Nick in his competitions!

Nicholas got first in the 400 meter dash! Okay, he was the only 9 year old in the 400 meter dash but he ran, finished, got a cool medal and certificate, and gets to go to the state meet on June 19! I'm so proud of him!

Marion--my next race is June 6, a 5k.
