Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:22 AP.  Treadmill.  Knees are bunches better today, and any discomfort disappeared by mile 7.  It may have had something to do with the 400mg of motrin I took first thing when I got up.  I resisted the urge to speed up and kept the pace gentle.  I am hoping that by the end of this week this knee thing has disappeared completely.

Ah, good to see. If a couple measly motrin will help, hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

I'm going to look into glucosamine Joe--it certainly can't hurt. I'm definitely encouraged that half an adult dose of motrin is enough to kill the pain.Of course, the full 800mg puts my GI system into an uproar so must be saved for true emergencies.

I've also googled the heck out of it, and can't find a diagnosis. It's not runner's knee--too low. The closest thing is patellar tendonitis but it really doesn't hurt behind the kneecap and nothing I read about gets better as it warms up so who knows what this is. Maybe arthritis?(I'm serious, there is RA in my family).

Hmmm, hopefully it's just a fleeting thing and goes away...almost seems good that you can't find anything specific to scare you.

Glucosamine (I think) would help if it was arthritis related, too. Danielle and I started taking fish oil, which is supposed to help your joints as well as the heart (we never eat any fish, and probably need the omega-3s as well). I feel like such a pill junkie since I take all that plus a multi-vitamin but I've never felt better right now injury-wise. I figure even *if the supplements are mostly hype, it's not that expensive when spread out, and can't hurt you.

I have no advice, just prayers. That stinks, but you seem to have a handle on it.

I think it might be a hook worm.

I"m glad the motrin helped.

Ouch. Knees. I'm with the glucosamine idea. And ice. Lots of ice.
