Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

7:52 AP.  Intention was 3x2 but my legs were so very tired that I realized after the first set of two it would be wise to back off and not overstress and get an injury. This was on the treadmill while Vanessa chose to watch Wall-E, again.  You know how kids get stuck on a movie and want to watch it over and over?--well, for Vanessa it is Wall-E, which is not exactly good running viewing.  Anyways I warmed up slow 2 miles, did 2 at 6:49 pace and realized that between Saturday and heavy mileage yesterday I was just not ready to do this today.  Slowed down to 7:30 pace, then slowed down more to 8:34 pace, made it to mile 6 and in a sort of rebellion did one more in 6:49, then slowed down for the last 3 miles.  Sweat levels were off the charts today, especially for me.  Now it gets funky, when I stepped off the treadmill I felt sick and the room started spinning. I leaned over the stairs for a minute until I felt a little more steady, and then curiousity got the best of me.  I stumbled my foggy head out to the car and got my glucometer out of the nursing bag.  Is it low blood sugar? Nope, 116--my body is doing a most excellent job of releasing adequate sugar into my bloodstream.  I chugged a few glasses of water but by then I was already feeling much better.  Made a banana milkshake with frozen banana, milk, and egg and drank it and now I feel perfectly fine.  Strange.  I am almost wondering if it was motion sickness from the treadmill and watching the movie.

pm. 3.03 miles in 7:48, 7:09, 7:07--just needed to get outside and run and it felt good.  squeezed this one in really quick before Nick's concert then took a superfast power shower and went and watched Nick and his classmates sing Christmas songs.  Oh the season of kid's Christmas programs has begun.

I bet it was motion sickness. When I get off the TM especially after yesterday's ridiculousness, my ears feel full like I am under water and I can't hear myself well when I talk. I tried to talk to the rec center desk person and I sounded to myself like I was deep in the ocean and she was looking down at me in the water. I also get dizzy as I drive home. I get migraines often and as a child got motion sickness often. Some TMs have smoother rides but others jiggle our heads way tooooo much. Last night my head was still spinning in my bed and I awoke with whiplash like tingles in my neck and head. Stupid TM. Hence why most of my good miles are outdoors. AND YOURS TOO!!! : D.

i have had a few random bouts of dizziness while on the run and it always goes away after i eat something. i go from feeling like i am dying (ok, maybe not that bad) to feeling perfectly fine again. weird.

10 miles is a lot on the TM, so it definitely could have been motion sickness. way to get it done though.

At least it is not Teletubbies or Yo Gabba Gabba!

That was a strange phenomenon, but maybe it was motion sickness! You did run fairly fast and the HOPPED right off. WEIRD.

I think it's because you're dieting. Happens to me, too. BTW, you're looking good in your new FB profile pic.

Nice miles today. Something about the repetitive motion on the TM that's different than outside (louder, bouncier?) maybe?

I'm with Kelli, it could've been worse. My last TM run was in front of The View. I lost 50 IQ points. I'm now down to 4 total.

When our daughter was young it was Homeward Bound. By the time she finally out grew that phase I pretty much had the whole movie memorized.
