Started with 3 easy miles then ran 4 at LT then finished with 2 easy. Goal was to run the LT miles at 6:40/mile. That is probably the correct pace although not the pace that I wish it were. First mile came in at 6:30 and I felt surprisingly good. Maintained that pace for the rest of the LT miles. The last mile was a little tougher and I really had to work the last 1/2 mile but I was able to keep it at 6:30. It was definitely a little quicker that LT but was glad that I was able to complete the run without the pace dropping off. As the LT runs increase in length, I will need to be more realistic and back off the pace a little. |
