Super busy day today.  Out the door at 5:30 for my last long run of this training cycle.  Kept the pace easy for a true LSD.  Ran on the LPT then extended it to Eagle Bay elementary to get the full distance.  Felt very good throughout the run.  Ran the last mile in 6:30 to get the feel for a quicker pace on tired legs.  Cannot believe how good it felt.

Total Time: 2:34:20 (7:43/mile)

Great run...we were out there pounding the pavement at the same time. Nice fast finish!

Looks like everything is coming together at just the right time.

Ditto what Rhett said!

Way to push it in the end. I tried that today and almost collapsed.

Nice run, Andy. I see you're thinking about getting guaranteed entry into New York in 2011. Your 1/2 marathon time almost gets you in (you'd need 1:23:00 or better). Good luck!

Very nice. Glad things are looking so positive.

AWESOME pace on this 20 miler. Is this your last 20 run before Ogden? WAY to cap off a great training week. So HAPPY to hear that the legs felt good on a 6:30 last mile! WooHoo! You're ready for Ogden!

How was your busy day? Did it include a baptism service for Emma and Gracie?

From Andy on Mon, Apr 26, 2010 at 07:46:10 from 198.60.114.178

Thanks, Smooth. Yes, it included Emma and Gracie's baptism and a get together at my house afterward. Everything went well and it was a good day.

Congrats on the special day for you and your girls. Those kind of days are way better than any PR at any race could ever be.

From Teena Marie on Tue, Apr 27, 2010 at 22:29:55 from 174.52.45.85

:) I am so glad that the run went well. How in the world you ran that last mile is beyond me. So ... tell me more about the rest of the day! :)

From Andy on Wed, Apr 28, 2010 at 00:05:27 from 198.60.114.178

Teena - The rest of the day went really well. The girls had a great day and it seemed to be really special for them. I was able to do it which I think meant a lot to them.

From Teena Marie on Wed, Apr 28, 2010 at 00:07:56 from 174.52.45.85

That is what I was hoping to hear!!! :)

I am very happy for all of you.
