My legs were really dead this morning.  It took a couple of miles for my legs to warm up and settle into a pace that even resembled running.

That's okay your still hitting the recovery road. If I were you I always take Sunday off and maybe you should as well. Give the legs a fresh start to get ready for next week.

You know your fitness is there for SGM, and what you do next week can't prepare you anymore for SGM (training is complete). Just run to maintain fitness and throw in one workout with a few MP miles.

Thanks Kory. That is exactly what I planned on doing. I usually take Sunday off but didn't last week because I like to get in a really short and easy run in after a marathon to flush all of the garbage out of my legs.

I agree as well that the day after marathon run is important to loosen everything up from stiffness and being sore. It definitely a big help than not running.

I haven't decided if I'm running SGM, but this Friday I'll do my long run of only 13 miles with some MP miles mixed in. I really believe you'll do well, because your fitness is better than last year. You've really had a great busy year of racing.
