I hate when I wake up and the windows are rattling because it is so windy.  It makes it a lot more difficult to get ready for a run especially when it is cold.  The temperature wasn't as bad as I feared but the wind was worse.  Every once in a while a snow flurry would kick up and hit me in the face. It is surprising how bad that can hurt.  The first half of the run was uphill into the wind which was fine because that meant that I could finish downhill with the wind.  My pace was still pretty slow.  I kept reminding myself that December is my recovery month and I don't have to worry about pace.

Dang, that weather sucks. I will try not to complain too much about the "cold" weather during the winter here in Vegas.

Andy, I'm not sure who the guy from your work was I talked to, but he wasn't one of the actuaries. I saw his company tag and knew you worked there so that's why I asked if he knew you. I've not seen him since.

At least you're reminding yourself of it being your recovery month while you are running. I'm reminding myself while I am cleaning house and eating cookies:)

Andy I can't believe you ran in that! Today was definitely a inside work out day for me.

No matter what the pace, running in this weather will toughen you up.

From Cal on Fri, Dec 19, 2008 at 14:36:54

I just noticed how close you are to exceeding 3000 miles for the year... that is AWESOME!

From Andy on Fri, Dec 19, 2008 at 14:43:18

I should hit it on Christmas eve so that I can take Christmas off.

From RivertonPaul on Fri, Dec 19, 2008 at 15:01:16

I've hit 3000 calories already today, that's some achievement (that I reach all too often).

From Rhett on Fri, Dec 19, 2008 at 15:14:38

If it were my recovery month and the weather was that bad, I'd be heading back to bed. Way to tough it out and not be like me.

From Teena on Fri, Dec 19, 2008 at 15:44:58

Hey Andy,

You are so stinkin' tough! Take a camera on Christmas Eve and take a picture of you when you hit 3000, will ya? If not ... I'll come and take it for you!

From Teena on Fri, Dec 19, 2008 at 15:45:34

(that is if you are running Christmas Eve morning ... not Christmas Eve eve!!)
