I couldn't sleep again last night.  Woke up at 2:00 and worked for a little while.  Couldn't handle one more Brett Favre highlight on ESPN so I headed out the door a little earlier than usual.  My Garmin was acting up which is weird because it did the same exact thing last week when I ran this same route.  I kept the pace nice and easy and just enjoyed the run.  My mind was working a mile a minute so the run seemed to go by pretty quickly.

I hate when I get in the mode where I can't sleep. Glad at least your run ended up enjoyable even if the sleep wasn't.

There are certain places I run where my Garmin seems to glitch a lot for no good reason. Not sure why that is as there are no trees or anything that I would think would block the signal. Just one of those weird things I guess.

Andy - at this time I would recommend running by feel. When you have life stress that interferes with your sleep, you should be very cautious. Just run to reduce stress. You should be able to handle distance OK, but do not expect much in the way of speed - take what you can have, and do not force it. You may see some odd patterns at tempo speeds, like feeling fine for a few miles, then totally losing it as if you were out of shape. We'll pray for you in the meantime.
