Headache is still hanging on. I think that it is a symptom of hypertension induced by my morbid obesity.  In all seriousness, it is probably from high blood pressure.  Ventured out just to get in a few up tempo miles.  Everything felt really good (except for my head).

Andy it is amazing that people as fit as you get hypertension. I too battle it. I check mine almost daily and it is usually around 135/85 but some times gets as high as 145/95. I should really go to the doctor, but I don't want to be put on meds, so I resist going by telling myself that I am fit and I eat healthy. I wish there were a good natural way of lowering BP, but I've tried the herbal supplements that are supposed to do that and they don't do anything for me. Good luck with your headache. I'm sure it felt good to get in some running miles.

That's about where mine usually runs. My diet has been so poor for the last 2 months. That is probably what is contributing to it. I haven't checked my BP for awhile. I'm curious if that really is the cause.

For what it is worth, I'm on a statin for high cholesterol. Get better so you can keep your your head in the game Andy.

Morbid obesity, hahaha! Way to hang tough during this low period. You've got a great base to launch from whenever you're ready to go!

Sorry to hear you are still sick...Can't help you with the blood pressure mine is usually too low. I have even been told I can't donate blood because it was too low. Mine is some where around 114/65

I don't have high BP, but I am on a statin for cholesterol. I do get headaches on a regular basis and once in a while they turn into severe migraines, probably due to lack of sleep.

Sorry about the headache! Please take care of yourself!

Hey Andy (I'm back), I too have high BP. I was on medication for it (beta blocker), but it scared me -- bringing my already low pulse (35-40) down below 30 sometimes. It was a bit scary, so I quit taking it. I bought a home BP machine and monitor my BP every so often (for a while I was checking it twice a day) -- my BP seems to be stress related. Case in point-I had to go to court over a speeding ticket, my BP was about 160/90 for the 4 days leading up to the court date -- but within 3 days afterwards it was back down to 135/75 (normal for me). I'd recommend getting a home BP machine (about $80 at Walmart). You'll see that when you wake up your BP and HR is lowest, if you take it right after you get home from work it will be scary high, and when you go to bed it'll be almost as low as when you woke up -- it's actually kind of cool.

I hope the headaches go away for you.
