Drove to the rec center to meet the running club.  Got there early so I ran 2.5 miles before others showed up. I was asked to come up with a couple of routes this month so for today I wanted to throw in some hills.  I came up with 3 different loops each with varying difficulty.  I ran the harder loop which was up 1800 South to Bountiful Blvd. then back to the rec center.  I used to run up this road once a week when I was training seriously and I forgot how beneficial it is.  It is tough but a really good work out.  Of course, doing it the morning after a race wasn't the greatest idea.  I was pretty worn out but was able to finish it.  Coming back down was tough because my legs didn't have the spring in them to generate a quick enough turnover to run downhill efficiently.  Came home and Gracie wanted to run so I ran 1/2 mile with her.

You are amazing Andy. Seriously ... can't believe you did that today after last night. Crazy Crazy!

How big is the running club? That sound like so much fun. Wish it were closer (and that I was running).

How far up 1800 did you go? Did you go all the way to Muller park. That would be one killer run I know I would need to walk at least part of that.

It is so cool that Gracie wants to run. She did really great at the turkey trot.

Are your twins very competitive? My husband has two sets of twins in his family, older twin sisters and younger twin brothers. Both sets are VERY competitive.

I went up to Bountiful Blvd. then follwed that to 400 North. It was a tough run because I haven't done it in a long time.

Gracie is very competitive but Emma is not. Emma has the biggest heart of anybody that I've ever known. It works well because she is willing to let Gracie have her moments.

So Andy, in the pic ... which one is Gracie and which one is Emma?

From Andy on Sun, Dec 07, 2008 at 00:02:15

Gracie has the red ribbon (#560) and Emma has the blue ribbon (#561).

Such cute girls. You did good!! That is great how their personalities compliment each other. I guess it would be a totally different experience than having one girl and one boy twin like we do. My twins are either super nice together, or super naughty together. I actually separated them for Kindergarten. I was very worried about it, but it seems to have been the right choice for them.
