Didn't sleep well last night because I had a sore throat.  Felt alright when I was heading out the door so figured the run should be fine.  Drove to Bountiful Blvd to get in some miles before the club run.  Started out and did not feel great.  Didn't have a lot of energy and even though the temps were higher than yesterday, it seemed colder.  Saw Kathie coming the other way about 0.3 before my turnaround.  After the turnaround I kept trying to figure out how far ahead of me she was but could never see her.  Our pace probably wasn't that much different.  Finally saw her with 1/2 mile to the park and didn't catch up with her until the top of the last hill.  Tacked on another mile but had enough time for 2 and should have run the extra mile.  I stood around too long and my body started to get very cold.  Ran 4.5 miles with the club and felt a little better than the first 8.  Ended up cutting the run a couple of miles short which will be the last time that I can do that.  Ogden training starts Monday (I think).

Sorry to hear you were struggling too but in a weird way I am glad I was not the only one. The hills really seemed harder today.

Nice job! For once I actually went an extra mile instead of cutting it short like I always do.

Hope your sore throat is just from irritation of the icky air and you can fight it off with extra sleep and fluids.

Ogden training yeah...bring it on!!! :)

Did you take the Emergen-C??? I took three last night and went to bed feeling horrible. Woke up this morning with a little bit of a headache but NO SORE THROAT!!! :) So ... did you take it???

Nice job on the miles (as always). A sore throat obviously isn't going to keep you down. :)

I should have listened to you. I did not take Emergen-C and it is still bothering me.

Go take some now!!! :)

You can actually buy a different brand of the same stuff at Costco right now for much cheaper. I think the brand is called Nature Made. If I weren't so lazy I would go and check for you. I'll report back if I am wrong though! :) Also, Target has their own brand now as well, also cheaper. Both are just as fantastic though! :) (The box you get at Costco has both the raspberry and mandarin orange flavors in it.)
